A third of the world’s population lives in countries where land degradation is a major problem. In Africa, it is estimated that 20% of the continent’s agricultural land has been degraded as a result of poor management practices such as overgrazing, soil erosion and deforestation.

When you sponsor a hectare, we plant 2,000 olive trees in Ethiopia. We will then provide husbandry training to the locals so that they can continue to maintain these olive groves themselves.

We will plant 2,000 olive trees in your name. ZafCANADA will maintain the trees until they are fully grown. You will get the google coordinates of the area and yearly updates.

ZafCANADA is planning to raise an estimated amount of $100,000 this year on Fund-raising campaigns. It will cost our organization an estimate of $5,000 to raise this.
