Zeyit Afromontane Foundation is a non-profit organization that takes away carbon from the atmosphere by planting Olive Trees. ZafCANADA believes in sustainable grassroot initiatives and supports local communities by offering economical opportunities in environmental cleanups. Plastic waste is collected from river basins and landfills in and around Addis Ababa. The waste plastic is processed, graded, and shipped as raw material (PET) to Canadian Manufacturers. You can support this foundation by purchasing our 100% recycled PET products in Canada. You can fund to plant Olive Trees per hectare. Every hectare can have approximately 2,000 seedlings. Olive trees can grow to be quite tall, with some reaching up to 20 feet tall. This will remove approximately 1,000 tons of carbon from the atmosphere.
