PET is a clear and durable plastic used in the production of disposable bottles for soft drinks and other beverages. Virtually all single-serving or 2 liter bottles of carbonated liquid sold in Canada are made from PET.

PET is made by combining ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid to form a polymer chain, then extruding it into spaghetti-like strands that are cooled quickly before being cut into small pellets. The resin pellets are then heated to a molten liquid that can be easily extruded or molded into items of practically any shape.

Your purchase of a ton of PET plastic flakes will

We help local at-risk youth organizations by providing funds for them to clean the river basins in and around Addis Ababa and collect plastics. The plastics are then sanitized, graded and brought to the market. Our goal is to reduce the amount of plastic that ends up in our rivers and oceans by collecting, sanitizing and selling it as a new resource.

When you purchase ZafCANADA's 100% recycled PET. You will receive a product that has been made from bottles and containers that have already been used once.

ZafCANADA, as a non-profit foundation, will plant ten olive trees on your behalf for every ton of PET you order.

ZafCANADA is planning to raise an estimated amount of $100,000 this year on Fund-raising campaigns. It will cost our organization an estimate of $5,000 to raise this.
