PROJECTS

Plant . Recycle . Repeat

Current Projects
ZafCANADA has signed agreements with at-risk youth organizations in Addis Ababa. The Youth Organizations will be cleaning river basins and collecting plastic waste. ZafCANADA has acquired licenses and the necessary documentations to plant Olive Trees from The Ethiopian Forestry Development (EFD). ZafCANADA is currently in the process of finding Canadian manufacturers to purchase 100% PET products. ZafCANADA has planted 100 Olive Trees in the outskirts of Addis Ababa as its first pilot project in 2022.

Future Projects
ZafCANADA plans to open an Olive Seedling Plantation in Addis Ababa. This plantation will provide Olive Seedlings to farmers and other environmental organizations free of charge. The project will also help create jobs and boost the economy through increased exports. An additional goal of this project is to revive the olive farming industry in Ethiopia, which has been struggling due to a lack of resources. This has contributed to the rise of prices for Olive Oil in Ethiopia. ZafCANADA plans to plant one million Olive Trees by 2027. This will help restore the environment and create jobs for at-risk communities in Addis Ababa. ZafCANADA plans to provide jobs and business opportunities for locals in Ethiopia by re-purposing furniture from Canada. ZafCANADA is also committed to sustainable operations and reducing its environmental footprint. ZafCANADA believes that by supporting local businesses in Ethiopia, they can create jobs and contribute to the local economy.
